Many programs are suspended or postponed due to the crown epidemic, but SVT’s new competition program “Sweden’s Strongest Family” is not one of them. This week, recordings begin in the mountains around Åre. Athletics star Sanna Kallur is the program’s director for the first time, along with André Pops.

– It’s going to be really exciting. This is the first time for me, so I think it is important to learn as much as you can about the skills and what is needed and also to get to know the families. It feels great to have André by my side. He supports me and already helps me with advice and suggestions, she says.

Competitions consist, inter alia, of outdoor obstacle courses. To qualify, participants have had to undergo a variety of tests.

– These families are very well trained and I already have iron control over their values. I like the idea of the program, it is not just about who is the fastest on the mountain, but we demand family cohesion and how to support each other. Also, I love being in the woods and when I was offered the job, I immediately accepted. Contains all my favorite ingredients: competition, outdoor activities, and family hangings, says Sanna Kallur.

It will be a difficult challenge for them to live almost from each other all day and then compete together. It can be in a bad mood if things go wrong for someone and they have to work it out.
