Highly acclaimed by Mike Tyson after a cruel blow: “Future Champion”

Two years ago, Francis Ngannou lost two straight games, including a title match against Stipe Miocic, and was criticized for his mild efforts.

Since then, the Cameroonian has been chasing a new title shot and eliminating four consecutive wins, all by knockout in the first round and in 71 seconds.

The evening meeting with Suriname Jair Rozenstruik lasted only 20 seconds before the referee broke up. Then Ngannou had encountered some wild swings that sent Rozenstruik to the ground.

“The scariest coward ever”

The world of martial arts reacted directly on social media.

“Convincing. Cruel. Future champions,” writes boxing legend Mike Tyson, one of the most stubborn cowards in history.

“Most people have fists, but Francis has a bazooka. Jösses! Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman writes.

“I’m really trying not to overdo it, but this version of Francis Ngannou may be the scariest coward the world of MMA has ever seen,” writes Shaheen Al-Shatti, a journalist for The Athletic.

I look forward to a new title match

In the subsequent victory interview, Ngannou was confident:

– Even when he challenged me to a game, I realized that I didn’t know what I was doing. I wasn’t ready, says Ngannou.

He now expects a new title match, but many point out that former champion Daniel Cormier will first have a comeback meeting with champion Miocic.

– It’s very frustrating. I don’t know what’s going on with weight class right now, but I’m here.

Francis Ngannou has won 15 of his total of 18 professional matches, including eleven by knockout.
