A pharmacist in India has died from his own manufactured crown medicine, according to police. Another man receives hospital care.
The two men worked for a herbal medicine company and had to try their cure, a mixture of nitric oxide and sodium nitrate, in Chennai, in the southern part of the country. “Medicine” proved not only to be ineffective. The 47-year-old pharmacist died on the spot and the man’s manager, who also drank the concoction, had to be hospitalized, according to local police.
The chemicals had arrived at the pharmacist at a local market, and he had developed the prescription after doing an online investigation, according to police.
There is still no cure or vaccine for covid-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.
