Norwegian police investigators wanted to arrest murder suspect Billionaire Tom Hagen again when he was released from the Oslo detention center on Friday afternoon, but prosecutors denied it. NRK reports.

– It is an important principle that the prosecution follow the decisions of the court. Then, under the circumstances, I felt it was right not to arrest him immediately after his release, prosecutor Kirsti Guttormsen tells the Norwegian public service company.

Hagen has previously been arrested on suspicion of murder, or helping to murder, his wife Anne-Elisabeth Hagen. After the Norwegian HD rejected the prosecutor’s appeal of the first instance court decision (corresponding to the court of law), his lawyer picked him up Friday out of detention.

Earlier Friday, another man in his 30s was arrested for murdering, or helping to murder, Anne-Elisabeth Hagen, who has been missing since fall 2018.
