The district court found that he was driving the escape car, but that he had been so involved in the impending murder plan that he was convicted as the perpetrator of the murder.

Just two weeks earlier, his friend Sebastian Makonnen, then 19, had shot and killed a 32-year-old man in the Guldheden district of Gothenburg. Makoon was also involved in the murder of Lidingö.
