The visit to the restaurant on September 30, 2018 was to celebrate that one of Hagenparet’s friends has retired. The taxi took Anne-Elisabeth Hagen and Tom Hagen to Brasserie Hansken, which is included in the Michelin guide.
The friends, who share the last night of Anne-Elisabeth’s life for VG, describe it as a deal they had: eating at a restaurant and going to the theater when one of them retired.
– We talk about everything and nothing, children and grandchildren. It is easy to be with them, the conversations continued and everything was as always, says the couple in a joint interview with the Norwegian newspaper The World Gang.
“The last time we saw Lisbeth”
The meal lasted a few hours before the four friends went to the “Norwegian Theater”, where they watched the acclaimed satirical musical “The Book of Mormon”.
The show started on 03.20 and ended on 22.37.
– We don’t talk much after the theater. It was cloudy and there was rain in the air and everyone wanted to go home. It was hectic and we stayed outside awhile, before the two of them got into a taxi. We said goodbye, disappeared and greeted each other. It was the last time we saw Lisbeth, says the friend, who is over 70 years old.
The taxi driver who drove to Anne-Elisabeth Hagen and Tom Hagen’s house does not remember much of the trip. Nothing happened to stick out, the driver tells VG.

According to friends, the fact that Anne-Elisabeth Hagen was notified disappeared the next day was not on the map.
Police theory is that Anne-Elisabeth was murdered at her home the morning after the visit to the theater. Initially, her disappearance was investigated as a kidnapping. But secretly, the police investigated in parallel whether it could be a murder.
Last week, Tom Hagen was arrested on suspicion of murder or aiding and abetting his wife, but was released yesterday. Suspicions remain.
Another man, 30, has been arrested on suspicion of murder or assisting in the murder.
– We only have wonderful and positive experiences with her. It is incomprehensible that someone wants to kill her, say VG’s friends.
