At least 19 people died in a frenzy in the province of Nova Scotia, in eastern Canada.
The alleged perpetrator, a 51-year-old dental technician dressed as a police officer, circled for a total of twelve hours shooting at people.
“This is one of the most senseless acts of violence in the history of our province,” said Nova Scotia Prime Minister Stephen McNeil.
Police Chief Brenda Lucki says there is no suspicion of terrorism, reports CBC.
The death toll has risen to 19 people and police warn that more victims may be found. The victims include a dead police officer and an injured police officer.
The shooter identifies himself as Gabriel Wortman and he is also dead.
“Heidi did her duty”
Brenda Lucki explains that the author initially appears to have had a specific motive, but then chose his victims at random.
– We are not sure, and will require extensive work to clarify why, she says.

Heidi Stevenson was killed by the author.
The police officer killed was Heidi Stevenson. She had worked for the Canadian Riding Police for 23 years, leaving behind her husband, two children, and parents.
– Heidi did her duty and lost her life while protecting those she served. I met Heidi’s family and I am at a loss for words to describe her pain, deputy police chief Lee Bergerman told reporters, according to CBC.
The buildings had been burned down
The man’s insane progress began in the small rural community of Portapique late Saturday and continued throughout the night.
After the police were alerted to Portapique due to the shooting, several victims were discovered inside and outside a house, writes Reuters.
Several buildings in the town had been burned down and the police were involved in a shooting with the killer.
I shoot in various places
The offender drove in a car that looked like a police car. It doesn’t appear if the car was a real police car or just decorated like a real police car. You should also temporarily wear parts of the police uniform.

People in various places around Nova Scotia were killed.
A police chase began on Sunday morning on one of the province’s busiest highways. The search ended this morning near a service station in Enfield, about 35 miles north of Halifax.
At 11:40 am local time, the police declared the man to be harmless.
Police have not confirmed how the author died, but various sources claim for CTV that the police shot him dead.
Gabriel Wortman worked according to the Canadian media as a dental technician and had a clinic in Dartmouth.

The worst of all
The event is the worst mass shooting in Canada. The victims are more than when a man murdered 14 engineering students in Montreal in 1989.
Nova Scotia Prime Minister Stephen McNeil calls the act “act of senseless violence.”
“When I went to bed last night, I never imagined I would wake up to this terrible news that a shooter was on the loose in Nova Scotia,” he told a news conference, according to CBC.
