Recognized in chat with a stranger

In March of last year, a man in India found out about him from the Swedish police. He talked about a conversation he had with a man in Sweden on the Omegle site, where users chat with strangers.

In the chat, the 20-year-old had sent a link to an article about the attempted murder in Kärleksudden and told him he was behind the deed, according to the indictment.

“I followed her for two weeks before attacking her,” wrote the 20-year-old.

He also wrote that Ted Bundy “is his idol”.

Prosecuted for child pornography offenses

In May 2019, the 20-year-old himself called SOS Alarm and acknowledged the attempted murder in Kärleksudden. He was arrested and is now charged with attempted murder, serious abuse, attempted serious abuse, attempted robbery, preparation for serious abuse and the crime of child pornography, after the police found child pornographic material on his computer.
