So far, 13,216 people in the country have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus. 1,024 people receive or have received intensive care in Sweden.
In a government initiative, older residents of the country will be helped to develop good routines to prevent the spread of infection.
The Health and Care Inspectorate (Ivo) was also commissioned to carry out 1,000 supervision efforts in elderly care in Sweden.

Among other things, it is about examining and paying attention to the importance of basic hygiene routines because it is very important to prevent the spread of infection, said Social Minister Lena Hallengren (S) during a press conference earlier in the day.
She says the goal is not to look for mistakes.
The goal is to contribute to improvement, says Hallengren.
Sofia Wallström, CEO of Ivo says the efforts will be done digitally or by phone.
We want our supervision to contribute to learning and to improvement measures. Adhering to basic hygiene practices has an effect, she says.
