Shortly after 01:00 the night before Friday, the rescue service was alerted to Degeberga, Kristianstad. A large appliance store with appliances and appliances was on fire.
– The fire had entered the structure when we reached the site. We made efforts to extinguish the fire, but then we had to focus on making sure it didn’t spread, says Jonas Nilsson, external commander of the South Rescue Service, and continues:
– For a few hours, there was a very strong smoke development right in an apartment building. The residents had to be evacuated for a few hours due to the smoke.
The building, about 40 meters long and 15 meters wide, was completely damaged. The rescue service remains on site to keep an eye on at least lunchtime as it is still burning in the remains of the breed.
– We let the remains burn in controlled ways, says Jonas Nilsson.
No person should have been injured in connection with the fire. The police will investigate the cause of the fire when it ends.
