On May 16, the hotel room festival Let Live Live Malmö Live. There will be four hours of live broadcast with nine different artists, many with local roots.
“It has been a great success so far, it seems to be a longing for experiences of this kind,” says Sulekha Daar, in the office of artist Jubel, who is the initiator and producer of the digital festival that has now been broadcast three times in venues. like Stockholm, Umeå. and Uppsala.
Now is the time for Malmö, where Jubel collaborates with Malmö Live Concert Hall and Clarion Hotel, both in the same building.
– It’s been scary, silent and empty here at Malmö Live for the past month. The public is delighted with his absence in the concert hall. For Let Live Live, trade for a day. The festival is an example of new ways to collaborate and offer quality musical experiences. This will fit perfectly into an entire building like Malmö Live, says Karin Karlsson, program manager at Malmö Live Concert Hall.
300 rooms and festival passes will be sold and the deal includes accommodation, dinner, sachets and breakfast for two, as well as access to the live concert in the hotel room. Therefore, we give the audience the opportunity to follow the festival, alone (according to restrictions) but still together. All this at a price of 1,195 SEK. per room and Early Bird (the first 50 tickets) for 995 SEK. per room.
Jens Lyckman, CEO of Clarion Hotel Malmö Live, is very positive about the initiative:
– We are trying to find the flashes of light, and you can tell that this pandemic has attracted more creativity. We always have and will sell experiences and this is a new and fun way to stimulate the senses of our guests. That, combined with people who get tired of sitting at home, we believe makes this offer a success, “says Jens Lyckman.
The Let Live Live festival started in March 2020 with the idea of creating “Sweden’s biggest online festival” and highlighting the value of a live Swedish music scene. Through YouTube and the live streaming service Twitch, the first four editions have reached more than 150,000 unique viewers from different parts of the world. Jubel has also raised money for participating artists with the help of Swish. Examples of artists include Daniel Adams Ray, Thomas Stenström, Amanda Aasa, Sabina Ddumba, Janice, and Molly Hammar.
– Parallel to the fact that we have realized that the influence of the music industry on Covid-19 is likely to be a long-term driver, we are extremely pleased with the development that has taken place since we started the Let concept Live Live. With 150,000 unique visitors, we are not only the biggest Swedish festival of the year, but also bigger than last year’s biggest. This demonstrates the fact that the demand for music and artists remains and is perhaps greater than ever. The only thing that has changed is that you cannot consume music together. In the same way that food consumption moves from the pub to the cabin, we have to apply our food chain. Live, live !, says Erik Ohlsson, CEO of Jubel AB.
Unique festival tickets are now available on malmolive.se.
