Pregnant women admitted to childbirth clinics at Karolinska University Hospital in Solna and Huddinge are tested for covid-19, reports SVT News. So far, the hospital has examined 320 women, and seven percent of them were infected.

– It is about protecting those we need the most at the moment: anesthesiologists and anesthesiologists. When you enter a maternity ward, there is a risk that you end up on an operating table, so we have chosen to screen everyone, Karin Pettersson, chief physician and manager of the maternity care section at the hospital, tells SVT.

Crowned women will not need to separate from their children after birth. The hospital claims that the children do not appear to have any serious illness and believes that the connection between mother and child is important.
