A total of 2,769 people in Sweden had died as of Monday on covid-19. So far 22,721 cases of the disease have been confirmed and 1,572 people have required intensive care.
According to Anders Tegnell, A state epidemiologist at the Public Health Agency, Europe is generally in a kind of stagnation phase, while the number of cases of covid-19 continues to rise in many other parts of the world.
– The Public Health Authority sees a clearer decreasing trend among the number of people receiving intensive care. Many are also starting to reach other regions besides Stockholm, Anders Tegnell said during Monday’s press conference with Swedish authorities.
On Monday, there were 1,050 respirator VAT sites available in Sweden, of which 509 were used to care for patients with covid-19. Johanna Sandwall of the National Board of Health and Welfare agreed during the press conference in the image of Anders Tegnell that the pressure on VAT decreased somewhat.
– This does not mean that we do not have a health burden, but we do see a certain reduction.

Karin Tegmark-Wisell, The head of the microbiology department of the Public Health Authority said he appears to have full or partial protection against the virus in case of reinfection. The state of knowledge is still under development and the big question is how long will protection stay and how extensive is it, he noted.
– Protection gradually decreases during the first year and there may be individual differences. Therefore, a recovered person cannot be sure what the antibody situation is like with himself, Karin Tegmark-Wisell said.
Svante Werger, especially an adviser to the Swedish Agency for Social Protection and Preparedness, spoke about the latest figures in opinion polls conducted during the current crown pandemic.
The numbers are relatively stable, what stands out is that confidence in Swedish elderly care has declined over the past week. In recent days, the figure has dropped from 34 to 22 percent.
“This change is a clear departure from the stable results in this study,” said Svante Werger.
