37-year-old arrested for making 200 false alarm calls in a month

The man was arrested for manifestly illegal threats and manifestly false alarms. He is said to have made the calls during the period of October 3 to November 4 of this year, the last call he made just before being arrested by police.

– It is about the order of 200 false alarm calls to 112, says Hans Harding, prosecutor of the room.

The conversations are recorded, which are now part of the evidence against the man.

– It has not been established that it is him, but I heard him speak at the arrest hearing and I heard some of the recorded alarm calls and I think it sounds like his voice, says Hans Harding.

– Then we can tie the phone from which you called when you were wearing it at the time of arrest. Then he had just made a false alarm call.

The man denies the crime

The 37-year-old man, who lives in Malmö, denies making any alarm calls.

The man was not arrested for the header sabotage against blue light activities, which Hans Harding requested in the first place. However, the prosecutor continues to argue that the crimes should be classified as such.

In the future, calls will be assigned with the help of SOS Alarm.

– Then we will examine what consequences these conversations have had. When the police and rescue service have been dispatched, it has become an unnecessary emergency, he says.
