“We don’t stop looking before they find it,” says Therese Haugen, operations manager for Missing People Stockholm.

Throughout the day, a large search operation is taking place in the Tyresta National Park in the south of Stockholm. Missing People is leading the effort, which brought together about 350 people Sunday morning.

– We are looking at a very wide geographical area, today it is concentrated in Tyresta. We still have some spot efforts elsewhere, along the Sörmlandsleden, says Therese Haugen.

The last trace of the missing person is from November 12, when he left his home to take a jogging trip through the area where he is now being searched.

Initially, the police did not suspect that any crime had been committed in connection with the disappearance of the man, but earlier in the week they agreed that the incident is now classified as kidnapping.

– At the moment, the search work we do does not affect, as long as the police want our help for the search areas, we continue. We never give up, we don’t stop looking before they find it, says Therese Haugen.
