The 23-year-old was arrested in May on suspicion of being an accessory to the murder of the mother of a young girl, Karolin Hakim, in Malmö.

According to the information provided to Kvällsposten, the investigation has failed to make concessions.

He denies any involvement in the murder and that he would have helped the men who murdered Karolin Hakim on August 26 last year in Sergels väg.

Lived under threat of death

The same 23-year-old has lived under death threats after he was acquitted of his involvement in a murder in Nydala on July 3, 2018. Two men were then lured into a trap. Both were shot. However, a 24-year-old man. His comrade survived. The man who survived later testified against the man who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder and attempted murder.

The 23-year-old was released but had a protected identity and lived in hiding abroad for a long time. He also described to authorities in letters that he was living under death threats and that he was wearing a safety vest.

In February, he survived an assassination attempt in and around Tyringe. But in early April this year, a death squad was looking for him in Hässleholm. Police suspect that a 26-year-old man led the death patrol, according to Kvällposten sources.

– I do not comment on that, says the district attorney Michael Hansson to Kvällposten.

He chased the 23-year-old

But according to information from Kvällsposten, the now 26-year-old detainee is suspected of being the person who gave the order for the death squad to strike. But they failed for unclear reasons to kill the 23-year-old.
The 26-year-old is now suspected of preparing for a murder and was arrested on probable cause, the highest degree of suspicion.

According to Kvällposten sources, the prosecutor’s evidence against the 26-year-old includes a large number of messages and orders that the 26-year-old allegedly gave to the death patrol with the help of encrypted mobile phones, the so-called Enchrochat.

– He denies the crime and we are considering appealing the arrest decision, says attorney Joel Apitzsch, who is the 26-year-old’s representative.

Encrochat was hacked in early April by French police who eavesdropped on thousands of messages. Since then, the Swedish police have received messages that may be related to Swedish criminal gangs.
