Police on the scene following the shooting in Stockholm’s Liseberg district, which resulted in the death of a man. A 17-year-old is now on trial for his role in the murder.

A 17-year-old has been charged with complicity and complicity in the murder, following a shooting in the district of Liseberg in southern Stockholm that resulted in the death of a man in his 30s.

The shooting took place on June 20 last year and the man died a few days later in hospital.

According to a police press release, the boy belongs to a criminal network in southern Stockholm and had lured the victim to the scene where the shooting took place. Chat conversations between the 17-year-old and the victim have been able to show this.

“Our opinion is that the 17-year-old, who was only 16 at the time of the crime, should be considered as a child who runs for other more strategic people in the network,” says Stefan Rundberg of the department of serious crimes in the area Stockholm South Police.

Several other people have been suspects in the case, who police believe either planned the murder or were shooters, but the lack of evidence means they are not prosecuted.
