One morning in December last year, a caregiver found a thermos pump in a ventilation shaft in an underground garage in the Fosie district of Malmö.

Two men have now been sentenced to prison for participating in the making of the bomb. A 26-year-old man has admitted that he was the one who designed the bomb, but says he made it a friend who would blow it up at a New Year’s party in the country.

The court does not believe them

The 53-year-old admits he gave the 26-year-old the thermos, but claims it was because he was tired, according to the Malmö District Court verdict.

The district court does not buy any of the explanations and the 26-year-old is sentenced to two years and five months in prison for, among other things, violating the law on flammable and explosive products, a felony.

He is also convicted of a felony after a loaded revolver was found at his home in Staffanstorp.

The 16-year-old is acquitted

The old man is sentenced to two years in prison for violating the flammable and explosive goods law.

DNA from a 16-year-old boy was also found in the heat pump, but it was freed from the interference because it is not possible to prove that he was involved in making the bomb.

The 53-year-old is also convicted of fraud after he took mobile phones that he ordered on behalf of other people. In total, he is said to have defrauded himself with mobile phones worth approximately SEK 130,000.
