Skistar seasonal workers are said to have held a party earlier this week, in which at least 13 employees must have stayed in accommodation other than their own. Something that was not seen with good eyes by the directors of Skistar.

After managers found out about the party, a meeting was started with Skistar CEO Stefan Sjöstrand, Aftonbladet reports with reference to a knowledgeable source.

“It is completely unacceptable and violates the rules we have for the accommodation of our staff, which due to the situation of the crown has also been further strengthened this year.”writes Skistar CEO Stefan Sjöstrand in an internal email Aftonbladet has read.

The source states that the 13 seasonal workers who participated in the party were not given space to explain themselves.

– They got a real reprimand. But staff believe the situation has been misjudged and not given a chance to explain themselves, the source tells Aftonbladet.

Instead, temporary workers were fired with immediate effect. They had 24 hours to pack their bags and leave the accommodation in Vemdalen.

“Given the current situation with the corona pandemic, we see this type of violation of internal rules as a risk to the work environment. In the event of such a breach, an individual interview will be conducted with the employee in question, including a risk assessment, and then appropriate action will be taken, in this case a divorce from employment.CEO Stefan Sjöstrand writes later in the email.
