Suspicious Kyle Ritenhaus thanks supporters by phone in lawyer’s Twitter post

Last week Kenosha, Viz. Illinois teenager Kyle Rittenhaus, who is accused of killing two people and injuring a third during a protest in, thanked his supporters over the phone with one of his lawyers on Tuesday.

“I just want to thank everyone below me for the underlying support,” Rittenhouse said via speaker phone held by his attorney, John Pierce, who tweeted the video of the call. “I just want to thank you for the mail I’m receiving. It has been really helpful. “

Pierce confirmed to Fox News that the speaker on the phone was Rittenhouse.

“I’ll be out of here soon,” Ritnhaus added, telling his supporters to “stay strong.”

Just two days after Jacob Blake was repeatedly shot by a Kenosha police officer, the 17-year-old faced multiple criminal charges from the Aug 28 shooting. Rittenhouse faces several criminal charges, including reckless cow slaughter of every degree and attempted first-degree intentional homicide.

Investigators said Rittenhouse Smith and Wesson were armed with AR-15-style rifles while he and others reportedly went to protect Kenosha’s businesses from vandalism.

One of the victims during the autopsy, Joseph Rosenbum (36), was shot five times – right groin, back, left arm, left thigh and right side of his forehead. Anthony Huber, 29, was shot in the chest before he died.

A third man, Geig Grosskritz, was injured in one of his hands.

Rittenhouse’s lawyers have repeatedly claimed that the teenager was attacked by protesters and acted in self-defense. Investigators have not said more publicly about the case or the events leading up to the shooting.

“If Kyle doesn’t have self-defense for Rittenhouse in these circumstances, then no one will be able to protect themselves, no one will be able to protect his family and no one will be able to protect his country,” Pierce says in the video. Levi is a “God-given right.”

“We will not allow the plaintiff in Kenosha, Wiz, to take him away from Kyle,” he continues.

In a message to Fox News, Pierce compared the teenager to an unknown shooter who, on April 19, 1775, was shot dead in Lexington, Mass. In the British and American troops had stopped. This event ignited the American Revolution.

Rittenhouse was being held in Illinois, where he was arrested hours after the shooting death, pending extradition to Wisconsin. He has been hailed in defense circles as a hero, with President Trump appearing to defend him on Monday.

Critics have reprimanded Kenosha police, saying some officers treated Rittenhouse and others who were friendly, and treated protesters more harshly.
