Susan Rice sells Netflix share worth more than $ 300G as Biden chooses to run smoothly: report

Former National Security Adviser Susan Rice has sold her shares in streaming service Netflix amid rumors that she’s on the shortlist of candidates to be presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden’s running mate.

Deadline reported Friday that Rice sold its shares worth $ 305,323, according to an SEC filing Thursday.

A Rice spokeswoman told Deadline that her sale “has nothing to do” with Biden’s VP search.

“Ambassador Rice’s sale of a fraction of its Netflix stock has nothing to do with VP speculation,” said spokeswoman Erin Pelton. “She submitted a share plan three months ago in accordance with SEC regulations.”

Earlier this week, Axios reported that the former vice president had limited his choices to Rice and Biden’s once primary opponents. Kamala Harris, D-Calif.

Late last month, there was growing speculation that Harris was leading the so-called ‘cattle stakes’. Biden was seen commenting on the California senator at a press conference, which included the phrases “Do not resent,” “Campaign with me and Jill,” “Talent,” “Great campaign help,” “Great respect for her , ”

Politico also reported incorrectly late last month that Harris was officially selected as Biden’s running mate. The report contained a quote attributed to the Biden campaign. Politico later referred to the publication of “placeholder text” as a mistake.

Other reported candidates to join Biden on the Democratic ticket include reps. Karen Bass, D-Calif., And Val Demmings, D-Fla .; Sens. Tammy Duckworth, D-Ill. and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass .; and Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms.
