Former national security adviser Susan Rice dismissed possible criticism of how she handled Benghazi, saying it would be a Republican-led distraction if former Vice President Joe Biden chose her as his running mate for 2020.

Rice responded by stating that “none of” the eight congressional committees that investigated Benghazi determined that she “had done something wrong.”
“None of them discovered that they had deliberately misled the American people, but I have no doubt that the Republicans will use this, and attack whoever Joe Biden’s election to be their vice president is. But let’s be honest about what this is. This is dishonest, and it’s a distraction, “Rice said.
As evidence, Rice pointed to another terrorist attack that she said had not been investigated.

Rice said in several Sunday shows that the 2011 attacks on Benghazi occurred as a result of spontaneous protests in response to an anti-Muslim video, which was later determined to be inaccurate. Republicans on five House committees initially filed an interim report alleging that Rice had intentionally misled the public. However, the House Intelligence Committee later concluded that this was not the case.
