Super Smash Bros. Ultimate New DLC Fighter allegedly leaked by GameStop

Fans Super Smash Bros. Ultimate on Nintendo Switch are excited about the new DLC fighters in the pipeline, especially after Min Min’s arms It was announced as one of the next additions, but it now appears that a future character has already been revealed thanks to a possible leak from retailer GameStop. While promoting the upcoming Nintendo RPG release of Paper Mario: The Origami King in a new video, GameStop allegedly spoiled the fact that Geno from the SNES game Super Mario RPG is coming to the fighting game Switch.

While discussing and praising the new Nintendo Switch exclusive, Horton said, “I mean, there is a reason why everyone was going crazy when Geno was announced for Smash“What is wrong with this statement? Well, Geno has not been announced for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. So what the hell is Horton referring to?

Well there are three possibilities. This may have simply been a mistake. This is the simplest explanation, and therefore the most likely. It’s also possible that GameStop has the scoop on the game’s next DLC character, which is certainly possible. It always has scoops, even if its relevance fades. Lastly, this may be a reference to the Mii Fighter Geno costume in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Of all these explanations, this seems to be the least likely. On the one hand, why would Horton be referring to this? Two, people were not going crazy when this was revealed.

Unfortunately, for now, all we can do is speculate and take everything with a grain of salt. However, with the launch of the new Paper MarioIt’s easy to imagine Nintendo finally bringing the character into the game. Geno is not only one of the most demanded DLC characters, but was also subject to some rumors that pointed to his inclusion last year.
