Epic Games is back with its latest major patch for Fortnite, with update 13.30 released on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices on Tuesday, July 21, bringing with it some major map changes and new LTMS for the summer Welcome event.
We all know that water is the name of the game in “Sea-son 3” of Fortnite Chapter 2, with the entire map submerged. However, in recent weeks, the tide has begun to spread, revealing new places as dry land reappears.
With the 13.30 update, the water has fallen again as the Summer Splash event continues, offering fans more LTM to sink their teeth into.
Gas stations
The big news in Fortnite update 13.30 is the new gas stations, which have been added in preparation for car additions sometime in the near future.
The locations have been given a modern new look, with players likely forced to go here to fill up their cars when they run out of juice, so they can continue driving the map for a real win.
Summer Splash LTMs
Fortnite’s Summer Splash event is underway, with Epic adding a few more limited-time modes for players to enjoy in the latest update.
In an email sent to content creators, Epic confirmed that Payback !, Catch !, and One Shot would appear in the coming weeks, though they did not confirm what these game modes would entail.
Cars
Many hoped that this update would eventually see Cars appear in the game, ready for players to drive and get angry, but unfortunately they have strayed, with Epic explaining that “many of the Island’s vehicles have been recalled.”
The reason behind the delay has yet to be confirmed, but the developers have likely encountered some issues before putting them to work and have decided to delay their release until they have been fixed.
