Stormy stretch will lead to slow drip in temperatures, less humidity


A cold front moving slowly through the region will bring thunder and showers, leading to a slow reduction in temperatures after several days of dangerous heat.

Scattered thunderstorms and showers that may be accompanied by heavy thunderstorms will arrive in the region on Wednesday afternoon, August 12, starting with a streak of stormy weather.

After patchy morning fog to start the day Wednesday, the chance of thunder and showers begins at 3pm and continues through noon and evening, until 9am

The high temperature Wednesday will be in the upper 80s.

Thursday 13 August will be mostly cloudy with a chance of more storms and showers and the high temperatures in the mid 80s.

Friday 14 Aug will be partly sunny and less humid with a high temperature in the low to mid 80s with a chance for more showers and storms.
