Stock futures fall as traders wait for stimulus


U.S. equity futures left overnight gains ahead of Wednesday’s session on U.S. Street.

Key futures indicators indicate a 0.2 percent decline when trading begins.

The earnings document on Wednesday morning includes the results of Verizon, Abbott Labs, Auto Tonation and Biogen.

Asian stocks rose sharply on Wednesday on gains on Wall Street as investors welcomed a group of solid earnings reports from US companies.

Japan’s benchmark Nikkei 225 fell 0.3%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 0.8% and China’s Shanghai Composite fell 0.1%.

In Europe, London’s FTSE was down 1.3%, Germany’s DX was down 0.9% and France’s CAC was down 1.1%.

Technology On Street, technology, communications and financial stocks have the most advantages. Traders bid for shares in some companies that reported quarterly results that were better than analysts expected, including Procter & Gamble, Regions Financial, Albertson and Travelers.

Others didn’t even take the rent. Shares of Netflix fell after hours of trading following reports of third-quarter earnings by streaming service and the number of new subscribers in line with analysts’ expectations.

American stocks rose on Tuesday on optimism that Congress would reach an agreement on a spending package to support American homes and businesses through the coronavirus epidemic.

The S&P 500 rose 0.5% to 3,443.12. The Dow Jones Industrial Average for large blue chips rose 0.4% to 28,308.79. The Nasdaq combined broke a five-day losing streak, rising 0.3% to 11,516.49.

Google Parent Alphabet has risen 1.4% since the Justice Department sued the company for antitrust breaches. Given the ongoing federal scrutiny of other major tech companies, including Apple Pal, Amazon and Facebook, the lawsuit could prove to be an opening ahead of other antitrust actions by the government.

Procter & Gamble rose 0.4% after the Consumer Products Company announced tangible financial results for the first fiscal year and raised its earnings estimates. Travelers Cons., Insurer recorded a growth of 5.6% after the top earnings in the latest L Street estimates, partly thanks to the expected loss on claims.

In energy trading, U.S. The benchmark crude fell 62 cents to. 41.07 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. On Tuesday, it rose 63 cents a barrel. Has reached 41.70. Internationally, Brent crude is down 63 cents at 5 42.53.
