Trump criticized the Bannon group for being part of ‘We Build the Wall’, for interfering in a government-led effort to build a wall on the US-Mexico border. Bannon, who was accused along with three other men, pleaded not guilty to fraudulent donations and raised $ 1 million raised by the group to another organization he controlled.
“What he said yesterday was absolutely correct,” Bannon said of his former boss. “The construction of the wall is a function of government. But look at how many problems President Trump has had. ”
Bannon’s comments were first reported by Right Wing Watch.
Leaving a Manhattan courthouse on Thursday, Bannon declared his arrest a baseless political ploy designed to stop the construction of the wall – a theme he returned to on Friday’s broadcast.
“This is to stop and intimidate people who have President Trump’s back in building the walls. We will never stop pushing the wall,” Bannon said. “This game is complete nonsense. I will not turn back one inch.”
The former White House top adviser also shed light on the chaotic scene on Thursday that happened when he left the courthouse and was swarmed by the media.
‘How did I miss going to the TV cameras and going to the print cameras? “Donald Trump would never make that mistake,” Bannon said.
