Jurgen Klopp should sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to beef up Liverpool’s attack for Premier League title defense, says Stephen Warnock, as the Arsenal striker faces a new contract (and they worked together before in Dortmund).

Jurgen Klopp should sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to take Liverpool to the next level as they defend their Premier League crown, according to Stephen Warnock.
Klopp and Aubameyang worked together for two seasons at Borussia Dortmund between 2013 and 2015.
And with the Gabon international, who has scored 22 goals this season, stopping at a contract extension at Arsenal, Warnock believes Liverpool should attack to provide competition for Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in the attack.

Klopp has just brought Liverpool to the Premier League title, but will seek to strengthen
This summer will be the last chance for Arsenal to take advantage of their 31-year-old captain with their contract with the Emirates Stadium that will expire in 2021.
The former Liverpool defender Warnock told BBC Radio 5 Live: ‘If it were Jurgen Klopp, I would go for him with one year left on his contract.
‘You are looking for a scorer who can get off the bench and play regularly.
“He will challenge the top three, he doesn’t need time to settle, you know he’s proven, he knows the manager and the manager knows what it’s about.”
‘Aubameyang will have great wages, but it won’t cost him a lot of money to get him out with one year left on his contract and how old he is.

Would Aubameyang like to go to a club like Liverpool, Manchester City or Manchester United?
“From his point of view, being a squad player at age 31, competing for the Champions League, competing for leagues, and you’ll win some trophies by going to one of those three clubs, that’s what you want at the end of your career. “
“When you retire, to have that association with one of those clubs, as well as with Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund, what CV do you have then?”
Aubameyang’s decision on a new Arsenal contract will likely depend on whether they qualify for European competition next season.

They are currently seventh in the Premier League table after Wednesday night’s 4-0 win over Norwich City, in which Aubameyang scored twice, but remains eight points below the top four.
Aubameyang is the Premier League’s top scorer alongside Jamie Vardy of Leicester City in 19 goals.
He enjoyed two decent scoring seasons with Klopp when he was in Dortmund, scoring 16 goals in 2013-14 and 25 the following season before reaching higher heights with Thomas Tuchel.
