Stephen Gostowski got some relief on Monday night in the first game of the 2020 NFL season, giving the Tennessee Titans a narrow victory over the Denver Broncos.
Gostkowski missed three field goals and an extra point before scoring a short 25-yard field goal to give the Titans a 16-14 lead in less than 20 seconds.

The Broncos quarterback Drew Lock will try to collect a last-second game-winning touchdown drive, but to no avail. Tennessee won.
It was one of Gostkowski’s worst games of his career.

In training camp he won a job kicking the Titans late. In his career game with the New England Patriots, he never missed three or more field goals.
Tennessee’s Ryan Tennhill was 43-29-for-43 with 249 passing yards and two touchdown passes. He had a touchdown pass from Jonnu Smith and another from Michael Pruitt. Corey Davis leads the team in receiving yards with seven catches for 101 yards.
Derrick Henry had 116 yards on 31 carry.
Locks were 22-for-33 with 216 passing yards and touchdowns.

Melvin Gordon III scored his first touchdown as a Broncos player. In 15 carry he ran 78 yards.
