UNC Football: Tar Heels Add Non-Conference Opponents to Schedule
A Stanford attack pushes hard for a UNC Basketball goal to join the Cardinal’s recruiting class in 2021. Where are the Tar Heels?
The UNC Basketball program is still looking for five-star small forward Harrison Ingram in the 20th recruiting class. Ingram has been on the UNC radar for a long time since Roy Williams and the staff were there to watch him play last year.
With 28 offers in his recruitment, Ingram recently cut his list down to 6 teams including the Tar Heels on that list. In addition to UNC, Ingram mentioned Stanford, Purdue, Michigan, Harvard and Howard on his list.
While the Tar Heels are still in pursuit, they are reportedly behind both Purdue and Stanford in the race for Ingram, as these two programs have remained as the favorites. But one player who has already been assigned to the 2021 class is now pushing hard to join the Cardinal.
Stanford’s only commitment, field star point guard Isael Silva, says he is actively trying to get Ingram to join and move him to the Cardinal:
Like Stanford, UNC has started one recruit in the 20-recruit class since landing Dontrez Styles in April. Styles recently acknowledged that he is also trying to help recruit some players to participate in the class.
But he did not leave Ingram and instead called D’Marco Dunn and Hunter Sallis. While that probably doesn’t mean much, UNC has a bit of an uphill climb for Ingram, so anything would help.
