The entry-level model of the iPhone 12 has been rumored for a while now to have a compact 5.4-inch display, and now we may have had our first proper look at that display, revealing a really small phone.
Digital Chat Station (a filter with a solid history) shared two photos of what they claim to be the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 screen, and one of the images has its fingers at its side, proving it should be easy to use with a hand .
The images appear to show the screen on an assembly line, so they were probably taken at a factory where the iPhone 12 is mass-produced. But beyond the small size there isn’t much to see here – the large notch remains, so it really looks like the iPhone 11’s screen, albeit in a smaller size.

If this is indeed the iPhone 12 then it is our first real look at the screen but it aligns with previous renderings and dummy units so it is completely in line with what we would expect. That said, as always, we would take this with a pinch of salt.
The main conclusion here is simply that the iPhone 12 could be really small, which is great news for compact phone fans who want more of a flagship device than the iPhone SE (2020). In fact, we’ve previously heard that the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 would have a smaller footprint than the 4.7-inch iPhone 7, thanks to its much smaller bezels, and this latest leak supports it.
Of course, we won’t know for sure until the iPhone 12 range is announced, but we may not wait too long for that, as Apple generally introduces new models in September, and the latest leak points to September 8.
That said, other sources have noted a delay, possibly until October or later. Regardless, every time Apple announces the iPhone 12 range, TechRadar will cover the launch in full, and in the meantime, we’ll keep giving you the latest leaks, so check back regularly for the latest iPhone news.
