‘Squidbillies’ burns actor over posts about Dolly Parton, BLM

Stuart D. Baker has been fired from the animated Adult Swim “Squidbillies” after posting comments about Dolly Parton and the Black Lives Matter movement on social media.

Baker, who performed under the name Unknown Hinson, posted on his Facebook profile about Dolly Parton expressing her support for the Black Lives Matter movement. In addition he referred to Parton as a “freak titted, old Southern bimbo” and a “slut.” In another post, he wrote “HAVE FUN [sic] leaving your own race, culture and heritage. ”

Series creators Jim Fortier and Dave Willis made the announcement Monday via the show’s official Twitter handle. She wrote, “We are aware of the very offensive and offensive posts on social media made last week by Stuart D. Baker. The views he expresses do not reflect our own personal values as the values of “The show we and many others have worked hard to produce over the past 15 years. For that reason, the production of Squidbillies without Mr. Baker will continue, immediately effective.”

Baker has been the main character Early Cuyler on “Squidbillies” since the show first began in 2005. More than 100 episodes of the series have been produced so far, with the show renewed last year for a thirteenth season. It is one of the longest running shows on Adult Swim alongside “Robot Chicken”, both of which began in 2005.

The show centers on a family of inmates living in the mountains of Georgia. It is unclear at this time if the character Early will be dropped from the show or if they will bring a new voice actor to play him.
