Trump could potentially use a rare pocket veto on legislation. The current congressional session ends Jan Jan, which means that if Trump doesn’t sign or veto before spending and stimulus he will essentially disappear into thin air, bringing Congress back into class.
Some in Congress are still hoping Trump will sign a government spending and coronavirus aid package. But it is not clear what the president’s plans are.
“I don’t know what he plans to do,” Blunt said Thursday.
