SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) –
The Springfield-Greene County Department of Health announced to the public of possible high-risk community exposures of one COVID-19 positive individual.
The person potentially exposed more than 300 people to the Dan Kinney Family Center at 2701 S. Blackman Rd. over the course of several days. The individual wore a mask when entering and exiting the building, but was not masked while working out. They visited the location on the following dates:
- Friday, July 24: Work from 12 hours to 14 hours (infected but not symptomatic)
- Saturday, July 25: Work from 12 hours to 14 hours (infected but not symptomatic)
- Sunday 26 July: Worked from 10:40 to 12:40 p.m. (infected and symptomatic)
- Monday 27 July: Work from 7.15 am to 9.15 am (infected and symptomatic)
- Tuesday, August 4: Work from 10.45am to 12.45pm (infected but not symptomatic)
Anyone who has been to these sites at this location has an increased risk for COVID-19 and should check for symptoms. There is no need to self-quarantine or isolate unless symptoms develop. This exposure is considered high risk due to the number of people that may be exposed and the length of time the individual was at the facility.
COVID-19 is spread through respiratory droplets produced as an infected cough or sneezing. It spreads among people who are in close contact with each other.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- Fever or fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Wurgens
- Muscle as body
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion as a runny nose
- Nausea as spit
- Diarrhea
