This coming October, four civilians are expected to land the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft on top of the Falcon 9 rocket. The 38-year-old will command this mission Jared Isaacman, A skilled pilot and founder and CEO of the credit card processing company Shift4Payments. There will be three other civilians joining the entrepreneur in this groundbreaking mission, the first of which was recently confirmed.
In an announcement Monday, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital revealed that Haley, a 29-year-old physician assistant and cancer survivor, will join Isaacman as a medical officer for the Arsenox crew. Provided that this mission passes, Arsenics will be the youngest person in history to go into space. Arsenox was 10 years old when she underwent surgery at St. Jude’s to replace a knee and get a titanium rod in her left thigh bone. While he is still lame and suffers from occasional leg pain, SpaceX has cleared for the flight. Speaking with Associated Press, She commented that her fight with cancer has really prepared her for the challenges of space travel.
“My battle with cancer really prepared me for space travel. It made me tough, and then I think it really taught me to anticipate the unexpected and move on to the ride, ”he said, adding that through the Inspiration 4 mission, he aims to prove to young patients and other cancer survivors that “Even the sky is no longer the limit. ”

Ipakman announced Inspiration 4 on February 1, as well as a pledge to raise $ 200 million for St. Jude, half of which will be from his personal contributions. Two of the crew members of Inspiration 4 have now been determined, the search for occupants of the remaining two seats of the crew dragon continues. Isaacman, for his part, noted that he plans to release the last two crew members of the space mission sometime in March. The lift off is expected to take place at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center around October.
