South Dakota Republican Governor Kristi Noem stated in “The Ingraham Angle”. On Monday night, attendees of President Trump’s Friday night event at Mount Rushmore are not expected to practice social distancing.
“We ask you to come, be ready to celebrate, to enjoy the freedoms and freedoms that we have in this country,” said Noem. “But we will not be socially estranged.”

Noem said those with concerns about the event are welcome to “stay home,” adding that the face masks will be distributed to those who “choose to wear one.”
Trump’s plans to start the Independence Day weekend on Mount Rushmore come amid a further surge in coronavirus cases and a national reconsideration of monuments across the country.

Noem said residents who are in conflict over whether or not to attend the event should “focus on personal responsibility” and make a decision they “feel comfortable with.”
“This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate America’s birthday, come together and have some unity, and really focus on the opportunities in the United States,” Noem said in response to the president’s criticism, “and maybe that’s what they don’t want to talk about. “
