Boise State’s Brian Harsin is set to become the next head football coach at Uburn, a source confirmed to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.
He replaces Gus Malzhan, who was dropped earlier this month after eight seasons with the Tigers.

Hersin also replaced Malzah in Arkansas State in 2013, winning the Sun Belt Conference title in his solo season before returning to his alma mater.
Winning the Mountain West Championship game at 201 Mountain is the first clear league title Boise State has had since joining the conference in 2011, and the first overall since 2009-2009. Hersin, the only alumnus to win the Broncos as head coach in Boise State history, has won. Conference championships as a player, assistant coach and head coach.
Boyz State has won at least 10 games in its first six seasons. The Broncos are 5-2 this year after losing to 19th-ranked San Jose State in the league title game. Boyz State chose not to participate in the game of Bowl.
The No. 15 Northwestern is set to play in the ub burn citrus bowl on New Year’s Day. Defensive coordinator Kevin Steele is serving as the Tigers’ interim coach and was initially considered a candidate for a permanent job.
Yahoo Sports first reported that Ub Burn was narrowing its search to Harsin, and was the first to report an athletic deal.
