Sources say Milwaukee Bucks to acquire Bogdan Bogdanovic from Cemento Kings in trade deals, sources say

The Milwaukee Bucks are landing Kings Guard Bogdan Bogdanovich in a sign-and-trade deal that sends Sacramento to Donte Divinsenzo, Erson Ilyasova and DJ Wilson, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wozniacki.

Sources said the Kings would send Justin James to the box in the deal, sources said.

The move comes in the direction of finalizing a deal with Milwaukee’s New Orleans Pelicans with two-guard guard Jua Holiday, as Bucks star Giannis Antatoque persuades Numpo to sign the Supermax extension, for which he is eligible.

Bogdanovich is the versatile offensive wing created for the modern NBA. It is a volume 3-point shooter and an effective playmaker.

Bogdanovic, 28, attempted nine 3s in 36 minutes for the Kings last season and scored 37.2% from. That number has jumped to 40.7% on catch-and-shoot 3-pointers.

It is also effective on the move. Bogdanovich posted a good number of screens and dribble handoffs and pushed the ball well over the floor in the Kings ’fast-paced offense last season.

There was a flurry of wings on Sacramento’s roster early last season, with Buddy Hild, Harrison Barnes, Kent Bezemore, Trevor Ariza and Bogdanovic all waiting for minutes. The Kings made some space in their rotation by trading the Arizona and Bezemor and bench hill in favor of Bogdanovic halfway through the season.

Bogdanovic was selected by the Phoenix Sons in the first round of the 2014 NBA Draft late in the evening from Belgrade, Serbia. He played in the U.S. before the 2017-18 season. Played three years in Euroleg before coming. Sacramento traded for his rights earlier in the season, and Bogdanovich played all three of his seasons in the NBA for the Kings.

Bogdanovic averaged 15.1 points, 3.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 29 minutes per game last season.
