Sources – Los Angeles Lakers in talks to acquire Dennis Schroeder from Oklahoma City Thunder

Before raising the transaction window on Monday afternoon, the Los Angeles Lakers are expected to complete a deal to acquire Oklahoma City Guard Dennis Schroeder, sources told ESPN.

The Lakers are preparing to send the NBA Draft and guard Danny Green’s 28th overall pick on Wednesday night, sources said.

The deal could be completed on Monday afternoon with ET.

The 27-year-old Schroeder is one of the most sought-after defenders in the trade market, and he reinforces the Lakers backcourt that could potentially lose Pete guards Rajan Rondo and Avery Bradley in free agency.

The Thunder owns the 25th in Wednesday’s draft and will also add No. 28, giving Oklahoma City 16 first-round picks between Wednesday and the 2026 NBA Draft.

Schroeder has one year and .5 15.5 million left on his contract and will be acquired for the purpose of signing a new contract to stay with the defending NBA champion, sources said.

Schroeder had an excellent season for the Thunder, averaging 18.9 points and helping 4.0 in partnership with Chris Paul and Shay Gilgius-Alexander.
