Defender Alex Piet Trenzlo, who is seen as the top free-agent prize in the NFL’s HFSon, agreed on Monday to a seven-year, .8 8 million-year deal with the Vegas Golden Knights, a source confirmed to ESPN.

Adding the top free agent available gives Vegas another big money talent, but the team will need to lower the salary to fit it under the 5 51.85 million salary cap. Goldander Mark-Andre Flurry, defenders Nate Schmidt and Alec Martinez and winger Max Passioreti are among the commercial candidates after Vegas has already sent center Paul Stanny to the Winnipeg Jets.
Petrangelo was drafted fourth overall by the St. Louis Blues in 2008. He is the only NHL team he has played for, Petrenzlo has served as his captain since 2016 and helped the team to its first Stanley Cup in 2019.
