While it has been rumored that the number of first PS5 units produced has increased significantly, it still seems likely that the supply does not meet the level of demand that many of us expect. Despite this, Sony seems to be kicking things a bit earlier with its own batch of pre-order invitations sent to select PlayStation Online IDs. Keep reading to learn how you can try to make the cut.
How to pre-order Sony PS5 participants
During the first batch of PS5 pre-orders, Sony will determine who receives an invitation “based on past interests and PlayStation activities.” While this description is fairly vague, it paints a pretty clear picture that the company is hand-picking active players who are likely to spread more enthusiasm than someone who only plays occasionally.
Anyone lucky enough to receive this email will find a list of steps they need to take to confirm genuine interest in placing a PS5 pre-order. Once these steps have been taken, Sony will submit and offer a few the opportunity to secure a position at the front of the line. These people will be able to order one PlayStation 5, two DualSense wireless controllers, two DualSense charging stations, two Pulse 3D wireless headsets, two media remotes, and two HD cameras.

If you have not yet received an invitation, Sony is still offering some hope on their new PS5 login page. Here players can submit their PlayStation Online ID to hopefully make the cut. Anyone who is not lucky enough to make it to the front of the line should keep an eye out and sign up for PS5 notes pre-order at one of these retailers.

Given just how long consoles linger before their successors arrive, it’s not much of a surprise to see Sony milking this release for all it’s worth. It presents us with many months of delights of information, and we expect this to continue.
I am in favor of this PS5 pre-order approach from Sony, as it seems to reward its most dedicated fans with a chance to get to the bottom. One of my friends made the first cut from Sony, and it does not come as much of a surprise, considering just how dedicated he is to the platform.
