The long-awaited competition for the Bears quarterback track between Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles is starting to take its toll.
The Bears have progressed from the acclimatization period of conditioning work to field practices with the team’s coaching staff. Wednesday’s session was not in many pads, but it provided an opportunity for the two quarterbacks to do something different.
Wednesday was the first day when they were able to pass on receivers running routes as they reported to the team’s provision for training camp. “There was not as much to gain from such activities as there is no defense on the field you are trying to stop, but head coach Matt Nagy said through JBC Stankevitz of NBCSportsChicago.com,”so far, so good”In reference to how things went.
The Bears will be refurbishing things in the coming days and they are set to start new week with padded practices. That should be when the competition reaches its peak, but it is safe to assume that both players will be well looked after during this week’s workouts.
