Jack White paid tribute to Eddie Van Helen and performed tracks from his career during his last-minute musical guest spot. Saturday Night Live.
White’s first exhibition features a medal built around the white stripes ‘Ball and Biscuits’, in which the rocker is re-employed. Later in the show, White unveiled a guitar designed for him by Eddie Van Halen earlier this week to pay tribute to the legendary guitarist after his death.
“I thought it might be a nice gesture for me to use this blue Eddie Van Helen model guitar for one of the songs on SNL tonight,” White wrote on Instagram before his performance.
“The guitar was designed by Eddie (with some customization I added). Eddie was very kind to me and I saw that this guitar was made for me for my specs. I even tried playing one of his songs tonight. It does not insult the genius of the man.Thanks again Eddie for this guitar and in peace sir.
White was a last-minute addition to Bill-Bar-hosted S.N.L. The episode after the original musical guest Morgan Valen Lane was caught breaking the Covid-19 protocol and having a mask-less party.
