SmackDown is being rewritten, segments announced last week were rejected.

We knew there would be big changes on June 26. Slap based on news this week that multiple artists, producers, and other employees at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando have tested positive for COVID-19. With the recording scheduled for this afternoon, we are receiving reports on the number and scope of those changes.

PWInsider says the Undertaker tribute, which was added yesterday and will include a new broadcast of WrestleMania 36Boneyard Match, will occupy approximately half of the show.

The appearances of Jeff Hardy and Matt Riddle were also part of the latest plans that Insider heard about.

It seems like most of what WWE announced last week is off the show. The official preview on WWE.com now only lists the Taker tribute. There is no mention of the AJ Styles vs. Drew Gulak intercontinental title fight (Styles shared the ring with Renee Young last week; Young is confirmed to have COVID), or Braun Strowman reacting to Firefly Fun House’s most recent edition of Bray Wyatt. While Insider says he’s waiting for Hardy, Sheamus’ “toast” to the Carigmatic Enigma is no longer promoted.

We’ll see what we get … apart from many videos of the Dead Man.
