San Luis Obispo County reports that a County 12 resident who tested positive for COVID-19 has died.
Health officials say the patient was 80 years old and lived at the Vineyard Hills Health Center, where there was a COVID-19 outbreak among residents and staff.

The Department of Public Health says it is working with the facility’s owner, Compass Health, to stop the spread of the infection and prevent a larger outbreak. This reportedly includes the isolation of the sick and ongoing testing.
