SLCO, Davis to move ‘moderate transmission’ for Kovid-19, lift restrictions



SALT LAKE CITY – As the number of Covid-19s across the state improved, Salt Lake County and Davis County were moved to intermediate transmission levels on Thursday.

Fox 13 has learned that the government. Spencer Cox will make the official announcement during his weekly COVID-19 briefing.

The moderate transmission level for COVID-19 eases some health restrictions.

The two largest counties in the state are at higher levels than last year. As of Thursday, there are now 11 Utah counties under moderate designation.

Ah Tah Health Department allows counties to move to the middle level while in other metrics, the 7-day average percentage falls below 10 percent. On Wednesday, Utah’s statewide 7-day average was 10.2 percent.

The middle level allows for social gatherings of up to 25 people, an increase from the 10 allowed under higher level restrictions.

Even under the intermediate level, masks must still be worn indoors and outdoors when residents are not able to socially distance themselves.
