Slash Updates New Guns N ‘Roses Material

Slash has given an update on the new Guns N ‘Roses music, confirming that the band has been working on material during downtime due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The band was supposed to be on tour until September 2020, but they were forced to cancel their dates due to the outbreak of the disease.

During an interview with the Sweetwater music store, the guitarist was asked if he had finished a musical project while locked up. “I’ve been pretty much a homebody, but I’ve been going back and forth between my home studio and writing and recording on my own,” he said.

“I’ve been playing with Duff [McKagan, bassist] and I’ve been playing with Axl [Rose, frontman] and I’ve been doing things like that, so we’ve been doing some work that way. But I haven’t been doing much more.

Slash added that he hadn’t been collaborating with anyone else during this time and that “he was basically focusing on writing new music and recording demos and recording guitar stuff for Guns and whatnot.”

The star most recently spoke about the band’s upcoming project in September 2019. “Obviously, everyone knows that we are working on new material, which is really exciting, so that’s the main focus,” he said in that moment. .

“I think at the end of the day, everyone wants to have a full album released. I don’t think that has changed that much. But today there is a different way of posting more than … I mean, there has always been the single, but now you look at that preliminary release a little differently now. After all, it’s like the wild west out there; there’s no formula for any of that. “

In June 2019, the guitarist confirmed that the band was “just getting started” on a new album.
