Ohio State has played one football game in about a month. I’m ready to change that.
Word of the day: Children.
S.O.S. Future Texas head coach Urban Meyer is no doubt busy these days, but he took some time out of his busy schedule to tell us how Cincinnati can get a stronger schedule and thus, a better playoff resume than Ohio State.
Ohio State is in a strange position, as the Cookies are at No. 4 in the Football Play Playoff Rankings and will not have a chance to win the remaining elite on schedule. Games against Michigan State and Michigan remain before the Big Ten title game, but Ohio State is unlikely to end the season with a Top-10 win.
That raises questions about whether Ohio State’s bottom team could pass the scarlet and gray. It’s a strange prospect to think about it, as the undefeated Big Ten team usually never wins the CFP. It doesn’t matter. Of course, this is not a normal year.
Urban Meyer said on “Huddling Breaking” with Joel Klat that the team he sees as Ohio State’s competition is not necessarily outside of Florida or Texas A&M SEC. The enemy of that state is Cincinnati.
“If Ohio State plays and they don’t have a chance to beat a good team other than Indiana – because you look at Michigan State’s record and Michigan State is not a good team.” “You see the Wolverines, they’re not a good team. They are really struggling. They can end the season with a (impressive) win and you see Alabama have all these wins. Can you tell me Cincinnati has a worse schedule than Ohio State? No. ”
Here’s the thing – it’s not wrong, but I need to stop behaving like Cincinnati has run Gauntlett this season. Sure, the schedule is a little tough, but even in the Bearcats I do as many wins as there are against a ranked team. And there’s a chance that Ohio State will finish undefeated with two wins over ranked opponents, with at least one likely being the top-15 team.
Also, a strict schedule does not mean that Ohio State will not drop Cincinnati if they actually met on the football field, and the committee is considering this.
Let’s get to the trick. The game probably won’t happen this year unless Michigan can magically take control of its COVID-19 situation until next week.
But if the game is played, it looks like things could be a bit weird in the quarterbacks for the Wolverines, according to the MGOBlog roundtable podcast.
“Did Michigan fans really want to go back to Columbus with Dan Villarry starting his first dhoom and starting a backup quarterback? “And that’s it. It’s clear that Cad McNamara is injured, he’s probably coming into the game and hurting, definitely hurting halfway through the game.”
…
“I agree with you, Craig. I think if Michigan plays that game against Ohio State, I think there’s a good chance that Dan Villarry is a quarterback. You heard him hurt Mil Milne too.” There was a question. We will also go to adapt to the last game. … We will see how things go next week. But I will not go to Ohio State this weekend to make sure any early quarterbacks will be available for that competition. ” They may be in a position to do so when Dan Villiers is the only person to whom he is available for the game.
“And Hassan Huskins is the backup, runs the wild cats and he can throw the ball a little bit. And he’ll look like this. And does he really want to play a game Ohio State? “
Is that a game we really want to play? Buddy, there’s nothing I want more!
Do you think your team is anxious that Ohio State fans won’t get a year’s worth of pleasure in a four-hour fill in a garbage disposal? Sir, this deadly game has been a reality for almost two decades. Nothing is different because you don’t have quarterbacks.
And since then when has your team needed to take a “quarterback”? We’ve only been away from Jim Harboff for three years, who allowed a fellow named John O’Connor to run the crime. Are you really going to tell me that Dan Willery (though, hold on – I’ve never heard of that kid in my life until now), or even Hassan Huskins for that matter is significantly worse than this?
Lastly, if the roles are reversed you can trust your ass that Ohio State fans will “beg” your sorry ass for a chance to run a third string quarterback or dive.
So I believe we just live in different realities, which is perfectly good and good! That’s all, our reality ends in the pursuit of the national championship. And we haven’t seen your bottom yet.
Familiar fo. This will be the first time Mel Tucker will face him as head coach, but he is already familiar with the defense seen by Justin Fields.
Tucker reminds everyone that when he was in Georgia, before he moved to Columbus, he defended himself every day in a deal against Ohio State QB Justin Fields.

Truly, he actually saw a lot in practice from Jack Fromm, which will never stop being hilarious for me.
Even at home. It looks like last night God gave Mike Cley Nally a nice little welcome home gift.

I’m sure there’s no scientific or meteorological reason that my brain is too small to understand, but the Ohio Sunset is really on point, at any time of the year.
