TikTok star Siya Kakkar is said to have died at the age of 16 in an alleged suicide.
The social media star is said to have killed himself on June 25, according to reports from India.
Siya was famous for her TikTok dance videos and had a huge following of 1.1 million TikTok followers.
Local reports indicated that Siya’s manager, Arjun Sarin, had confirmed the tragic news of his death.
She stated that the dancer was “fine” in her professional work and that she was on her way home at the time.
“This must be because of something personal … when it came to work, she was doing well,” said Arjun.
“Last night I talked to her about a new project and it sounded normal.
He added: “Me and my company, Fame Experts, handled many artists and Siya was a brilliant talent. I am heading to his house in Preet Vihar.”
Siya had lived in the Preet Vihar area, New Delhi, and had recently shared several TikTok videos from there.
She had become famous for her dance videos and had a large following on TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram.
Her last dance video had been released just a day before her death.
The photographer and friend of Siya, Viral Bhayani, also spoke about the sad news on his social networks.
Along with a photo of the deceased star, Viral explained that the news was “sad” and seemed to confirm that he had committed suicide.
“Sad news, the sweet 16-year-old tik-toker @siya_kakkar died by suicide,” he wrote.
“Before posting this, I spoke to her head of talent management agency, Arjun Sarin, who just spoke to her last night for a collaboration song and he says he was in a good mood and perfectly fine.
“Even he has no idea what went wrong that she had to go this way. You check her videos and you can be so good at its content, it’s really sad that she chose this path.”
“If you feel depressed, please don’t do this,” he concluded.
The late social media star has been inundated with poignant messages from his international fan base.
