Good afternoon Bucknuts subscribers! A lot is happening with Ohio State soccer recruiting, so let’s get started! Of course, I will have much more throughout the night and tomorrow.
1) The Buckeyes have 19 commitments for a spectacular recruiting class of 2021 that has been the No. 1 class in the country in The 247Sports Composite Team Recruitment Ranking from basically day one. Ohio state staff will continue to recruit all 19 throughout the process, although the only reason I would be concerned at the moment is the defensive end. Tunmise Adeleye. But even though Texas A&M, Alabama, and Florida plan to recruit Adeleye to the end, I like the Buckeyes’ chances of keeping Adeleye in class.
Going forward, there are eight recruits to consider to fill the remaining spots on the Buckeyes’ wide class receiver. Emeka Egbukaoffensive linemen Tristan Leigh, Jager burton and Rocco Spindlerdefensive linemen JT Tuimoloau and Tywone Malonelinebacker Raesjon Davis and security Derrick Davis Jr.
Out of that group of eight I don’t see Spindler or Raesjon Davis ending up at Ohio State, but I see everyone else as very realistic chances of ending up at Ohio State.
There are also a number of other 2021 recruits still on the Buckeyes’ radar screen, particularly on the offensive line and in the tight end, though they currently don’t have a compromiseable offer.
